Digital Storytelling? Is That a New Yoga Pose?
Welcome back, guys!! Has it been a hard week and you feel drained? I have the perfect recipe for you. Don't walk, RUN to the link and watch my video. Now, you know what to do every morning to have a stress-free, fresh start.
Since we got the introduction out the way, it is time to tell you the story of how this video got made. Are you readyyyy?
Our instructor gave us 3 options as part of our digital storytelling assignment. When Aliye and I saw the "HOW TO project" option, we knew what to do. I have been doing yoga for a few years now, but I have never been consistent enough to be professional. I just do it to feel good. So a 2-minute video to help others stretch and feel good sounded amazing.
As soon as we decided on the positions and the voice text, I got my roommate, Ece whom I love so much, and I ran to the park near our dormitory. My dorm friends and I love that park because it is usually very calm. We go there to get out of the dorm have fresh air and just vibe. But after this assignment, I think I can go there and do my daily yoga too.
I showed mountain pose and upward stretch, warrior 1, cat-cow position, downward dog and last but not least child's pose. These give you a good stretch and regulate your breathing; thus, waking you up and making you feel ready for another day in the mornings. Aliye did the voice-overs. So, even though she did not have any experience with yoga, she got acquainted with it and I am pretty sure she will start doing this basic routine too.
Overall, this was a great assignment and I would give similar assignments to my students in the future. It gave us a place to explore our talents and create something purely from those talents.
Thanks for reading all the way here. Have a great day and namaste. 💗💗💗
