CYBERBULLYING 101 - MY INFOGRAPHIC PROJECT

HEYYY GUYSS!!!! As a part of our assignment, I created an infographic titled “Cyberbullying 101: Think Before You Type.” My goal was to raise awareness about cyberbullying and try to educate others on how to recognize it and what to do or not to do in case of a cyberbullying situation.

I chose cyberbullying because it is one of the most common and harmful issues young people face online, and I myself have been a victim of it once or twice in high school. It includes spreading rumors, sending threats, or sharing embarrassing photos without consent like I also mentioned in my infographic. In it, I explained what cyberbullying is, why it’s serious, and how it affects mental health. I also included tips on how to deal with it safely (such as reporting abusive content, blocking the bully, and talking to a trusted adult.). I learned that in many countries, including Türkiye, cyberbullying can be treated as a crime and schools often have strict anti-bullying policies.

To design my infographic, I used Canva, which made it easy to combine text, icons, and images. One challenge was keeping the text short while still being informative. I had to revise many sections to make sure they were under 50 words per box, while still being clear and explain thoroughly.

I believe infographics are a powerful tool in the English classroom. They help learners understand complex topics visually. When students create infographics themselves, they practice summarizing (which is cool 'cause my midterm week is days away..), critical thinking, and design skills while learning deeply about their topic. To summarize, I am very happy about my work and I think that creating something like this should be considered educational art. 😉🙏🙌

ANYYWAYSS THANKS FOR READING UP TO THIS POINT

Hey guys... I decided to make a few small alterations on my infographic so I am editing this post. You can reach the new one here.
